our vision

The vision of Family Ministry at Cherry Creek is to raise a generation of children and parents who will be wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ who bring glory to God and blessing to our world.family_advent_night_web

We will focus on building four basic relationships:

  • The personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • The husband-wife relationship
  • The parent-child relationship
  • The sibling-sibling relationship
  • The family-church relationship

our goals

To Educate, Encourage, and Equip parents to "train up (disciple) their children in the way they should go . . ." (Proverbs 22:6) through Bible-based instruction and modeling. To see the mandate found in Deuteronomy 6:5-9 implemented in every home:

  • "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
  • To provide experiences for families to be together, learn together, encourage one another, to bear witness of their faith, and to reach out in love to those needing the Savior.
  • To offer an environment where children, youth, singles, couples, parents, and grandparents can meet others, build friendships, and find support during life's various stages and transitions.
  • To integrate specialized ministries within the church so that all the various departments are working in harmony with each other to promote the same values while not burdening families with over-programming and/or conflicting schedules.
  • To teach and model the stewardship of time, talent, and treasure.
  • To bless families by giving them time to breathe and raising the quality of their life together. To provide regular all-Church intergenerational activities.
  • To preserve the sanctity of human life and the institution of marriage through Biblical instruction, counseling and caring services, and mentoring.
