careers in transition

Across our country, many churches are rising to the occasion to help our newly unemployed. In this new economy, so many have lost jobs, been downsized, or are underemployed. We cannot rely on the government to care for our people. The Church is rolling up her sleeves and helping those who are job-displaced in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Careers in Transition or CIT is a ministry of CCPC, caring for our family who are unemployed.

To provide assistance for all job seekers pursuing employment in an open interfaith environment.
To provide employers with potential employees who are dedicated and professional.
To provide resources for professional, technical, spiritual and emotional support.

we offer

• A safe place to meet weekly at CCPC to share and to assist one another. The interactive assistance may include advice, emotional support, job listings, contacts, resume tips and critiques, role-play interviews, how-to's on maximizing internet searches.
• Rosters of attendees are made available to others in attendance, and updated weekly.
• After finding a job, the former job seeker becomes part of our "network contacts" roster, which serves as an additional resource.
• An environment of giving-many networking groups meet only to "get" something, our group also focuses on "sharing" with others.
