Hello, Bridge Builders!

I hope you're enjoying the newsletter's new look and feel! I'm excited about what lies ahead for Bridges and grateful for your willingness to come alongside. Your heart for caring and praying for and serving our community is such an encouragement. I look forward to the ways we will share Christ's love and build meaningful connections together!

Local Mission Sunday is October 11! This tradition, started by Al Johnson many years ago, gives us the opportunity to meet the people behind the ministries serving our community. This year, 33 of our ministry partners will join us to share their work and help you discover where you can get involved.

Here is my charge to you: Come ready to tell your story. Share the joys and hardships, the growth you've experienced, the Holy Spirit Moments you've been a part of. Your story inspires and breaks down walls because everyone can do something. Let's be a family that tells the story of Jesus redeeming the world through our very hands and feet. Join me on this journey of encouragement as we spur on each other toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10-24).

My prayer is that this time next year, everyone in our church family will have their own stories to tell about the people they have met, the work they have joined, and how God has used-and changed-them through serving.

Blessings,
Cheryl

Serving the Homeless

1st Saturdays | Oct. 3 & Nov. 7 | 9a-12p

For more than 30 years, CCPC has faithfully partnered with Agape, and we hope to continue that meaningful legacy for many years to come. While the name has changed, the mission remains the same sharing the love of Christ through tangible acts of service in Denver's Five Points neighborhood.

Volunteers are needed to help serve at the Community Breakfast on the first Saturday of each month. It's a wonderful opportunity to extend hospitality and be the hands and feet of Jesus. Please prayerfully consider joining this faithful ministry and supporting the Kingdom work taking place. Great opportunity for Small groups.

Cook, Serve, & Share God's Love

2nd Saturdays | October 10 | 1-4p

Join us every second Saturday in the church kitchen as we prepare delicious meals for our ministry partners. We will begin our time in prayer, work together to lovingly prepare and package the meals, and close with prayer and cleanup.

No special cooking experience is needed-just bring willing hands and a heart to serve! Children are welcome, making this a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together.

Come enjoy fellowship while helping us nourish our neighbors and share the love of Christ-one meal at a time.
