What is Lent? “Lent” comes from the Old English word lenct (meaning “spring”), which named the season often associated with this time period. Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a 40-day countdown to Easter, intended to symbolize the 40 day temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, recorded in the Gospels.

The evening will begin with soup supper at 4:30pm. Join us for a family friendly service featuring communion and ashes at 6pm.
