Preschool

I have always had a deep love for the younger and shorter version of God’s children – babies through preschool-aged. I desire to share the wonder of God’s world and His love and grace by encouraging parents and teaching children for the past 40+ years. This passion is rooted in Deuteronomy 6: 4-9, so out of God’s love for me I desire to love and serve His children. I have three educational degrees that have brought great enrichment and insight to the preschool. I have three wonderful adult children (and their spouses!) and it is a blessing to be called “Nana” by seven beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends – laughing and playing together.

I am an alumna of CCPP and in 2002 had the privilege and blessing to not only send my own daughter here but to also begin my career in Early Childhood as the Toddler teacher. My family and I moved to Arizona in 2005 where I finished my degree and after six hot years we returned back to beautiful Colorado! After moving back, I also returned as the Toddler teacher at CCPP until 2016 when a surprise addition to the family arrived, my son Dominic. Currently, my daughter is a Business/Finance major at the University of Arizona and my son is in the JrKindergarten program continuing the next generation at CCPP.  I am also the co-owner/instructor of Academy of Art LLC, an art enrichment program that is proudly providing afterschool art classes here at the preschool!

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a focus on children, from Colorado State University. My husband Eric and I have two sons that both went through CCP Preschool & Playschool. We enjoy a lot of soccer, baseball, basketball, and football games! I am thankful for our CCP Preschool & Playschool families and feel blessed to be able to teach your children.

This will be my third year of teaching Young Three’s at CCPC, and I’m so very excited! I am currently the Assistant Director for Early Childhood at Cherry Creek Presbyterian. My adult children are all nearby home and thriving. I am grateful to be part of both the church and school community.

I had the privilege of growing up in Greenwood Village and at CCPC. After attending Denver and Fuller Seminaries, I was on CCPC’s staff for three years. I love being back on staff as a Preschool 3’s Teacher. I have two sons and one daughter who attend Cherry Creek High School and CMS. Preschool is my favorite age because I get to watch these little ones learn so many new skills. I am excited for my seventh year teaching Preschool 3’s.

I was born in Sweden and moved to Colorado at the age of 23. My experience with children began with my mother’s in-home child care center. I have always loved children and got my Early Childhood degree in Sweden. I continue to take Early Childhood Education classes here to meet Colorado Standards. I am married and have two teenage boys with one in high school and the other in college. Our whole family loves to be outdoors – we are camping, boating, hiking, biking or skiing almost every weekend. I feel blessed to have found CCPC and love teaching here.

I received my bachelor’s degree with a major in Music and a minor in Bible. After college, I spent three years overseas as a missionary. I am a person of many and diverse interests, and one of them has always been young children. I love to interact with their distinct personalities and influence them for God. Originally from Connecticut, I have spent most of my adult life here in Colorado. I have a firefighter husband and three active boys who are in their teenage years. Some of my other interests include God’s family around the world (mission work), knitting, singing, and of course chocolate. 

I’m looking forward to a year of learning, fun and adventure. I was born in Michigan and moved to Colorado with my husband in 1990. We have 3 adult children, ages 25, 22, and 20. I have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood. I was a teacher at Southeast Christian Preschool for 3 years and starting my second year here at CCPC. Prior to this my focus was as a homeschool teacher to my children.
Ever since I came to Christ, I have loved to teach His word. It started with my children and since they’re all grown up it is my joy to teach your darling children about the love and faithfulness of our God and our goal to be like Jesus.
A few of my favorite things are serving at church, being with family and friends, and reading a good book when I’m not gardening. I can’t wait to meet you and start the school year.

Teaching God’s children about His unending love and the magnificence of the world that He created for us has been my joy for the last 24 years. My degree is in Chemical Engineering, which I used to drill oil wells in Colorado and Alaska prior to becoming a Christian preschool teacher. Having two wonderful children refocused my passion for teaching children about God’s love and the wonders of His science. My free time is spent with my son, daughter, and husband, teaching taekwondo, camping, fishing, and reading as many books as I can get my hands on. 

I am thrilled to be teaching here at CCP Preschool! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado. I began my career by teaching incarcerated youth for many years, then I became the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center. I am a single parent with two delightful children, Cyrus (10) who loves baseball and Georgia (8) who loves art.  They both attended CCP Preschool beginning in the toddler classroom. We love having adventures at our nearby creek in Parker. Luckily, I don't mind snakes, frogs and all of the critters my children end up collecting! I cannot wait for all of the adventures that this year holds for us in the classroom.
